I know many of us struggle for healthier snack ideas. As a coach, I have learned some new tips and ideas that I can bring with me on the go or for work so I can avoid those fast food places.
These are little frozen snacks that are great to have around when you are really craving something sweet, and then you don't have to feel guilty about it. =)
Just stick in the freezer and in about an hour you have nice frozen lil treats! Fun idea for the kids to help make too!
*Some Snack Ideas*
- cut up veggies with hummus or the ranch to go packs ex carrots, cucumber, broccoli, cauliflower
- home made trailmix in a little container ex peanuts, m&m's, raisins, cranberries
- low fat yogurt
- low fat string cheese
- shredded mini wheats in a ziplock bag in the serving size
- wheat thins or special k chips in a ziplock bag in the serving size
- grapes or try frozen grapes
- banana
- sugar free or fat free pudding
- apple with peanut butter to go packs
- almonds
- hard boiled eggs
- sunflower seeds
- cottage cheese
- raisins
- rice cakes topped with peanut butter and raisins
- popcorn
- pistachios
- orange slices
- cherry tomatoes
- graham crackers
- small salad with lite dressing
- animal crackers
- bowl of bran flakes
- pretzels
- protein bars
- tuna with triscuit crackers
- craisins
On a Sunday or your day off, make things ahead of time in a snack box in your pantry or in your fridge so that they are ready to go when you leave the house! Enjoy!
